Invest South/West - Auburn Gresham
As part of the City of Chicago’s Invest-Southwest initiative to help offset decades worth of disinvestment on the south and west sides of Chicago, the southern neighborhood of Auburn-Gresham was selected amongst ten different communities to receive improvements.
Homan Square
Homan Square Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) will provide 21 units of rental housing on four vacant lots. The project concept includes four buildings configured as three-unit and six-unit buildings with a focus on high levels of wheelchair accessibility, and will incorporate unique design features to serve people with disabilities of all types.
Englewood Connect
Englewood Connect is an entrepreneurial and community hub for local businesses and entrepreneurs. The new center will create local commerce, a culinary ecosystem, and flexible public spaces. These areas will be accessible year-round for local residents and surrounding neighborhoods.
